Shadowhawk Blades is a "backyard business" blacksmith shop located in North-East Texas, just 90 minutes from the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex.
We specialize in introductory blacksmith training through private classes; custom-made cutlery and historical sword reproduction; and in historic blacksmithing demonstrations at festivals around the region. We also offer sharpening services of all types, repair and restoration, ax and tool tempering, and build custom forges.
We have expanded our collaboration with Dan Davis of Davis Steelworks to include workshop instruction as well as custom orders. Dan is a student of traditional Japanese bladesmithing along with traditional European blacksmithing and we are pleased to share our studio space with him!

Many thanks to those who have shared their videos with us!

We recently purchased a $200 Vevor Cast Steel Anvil specifically for the purposes of testing it's suitability for use by a hobby or beginning blacksmith. Anvils can easily be the most expensive part of setting up a shop and this is the first low cost anvil with good specs that we have seen. Overall, a reasonable starter anvil at a good value!
